General questions
What does an exclusive range of amaryllis bulbs mean, and can I also buy them elsewhere?
The varieties you buy from Amaranth-Amaryllis are grown exclusively by NL van Geest. You can find some of them only at specialized garden centers and florists.
I bought a dry-flowering amaryllis bulb. What exactly are dry-flowering bulbs?
These are amaryllis bulbs that will flower well without soil or water. Not every amaryllis bulb is suitable for this. Suitable varieties include Evergreen, Lemon Star, Mystica, Neon, Sweet Lilian, and Sweet Nymph. The flowers will be smaller than when you plant them in soil.
What is the advantage of buying from Amaranth-Amaryllis compared with other online stores?
You buy directly from the grower, so the best bulb quality is always supplied with a 100% flowering guarantee.
How can I recognize a high-quality amaryllis bulb, and what should I look for when buying one?
The flower buds develop inside the bulb during the cold period. You cannot see this from the outside, but it is precisely the grower's expertise. NL van Geest has mastered this craft like no other, which is why buying directly from this grower is rewarded with many flower stems and blooms.

I have not received an email with payment instructions. Is everything okay?
You will receive this email within a few minutes of placing your order on Amaranth-Amaryllis. Also check your spam or junk email folder. If you still have not received an email, you can contact us at info@amaranth-amaryllis.com.
My payment failed. Can I pay in another way?

How do I know whether Amaranth-Amaryllis has received my payment?
Once we have received your payment, we will send you the invoice by email. You will first receive an order confirmation, followed by the payment confirmation with the invoice.
Can I pay afterward?
Yes, you can pay afterward via Klarna if you wish. Your order is only final after payment, and the amaryllis bulbs will then be reserved for you. If you do not complete the payment within the specified period, the order will be canceled.
Why do I have to pay shipping costs?
Amaranth-Amaryllis chooses the fairest and most transparent system possible by calculating shipping costs separately. You pay a one-time shipping fee based on the quantity you order. Within the Netherlands, delivery is free for orders over €60.
Ordering and delivery
Which countries do you ship Amaryllis bulbs to?
We ship our Amaryllis bulbs to all countries within the EU. We do not deliver outside the EU due to customs restrictions.
Can I have an order delivered outside the EU?
We only ship orders within the European Union. For this reason, we cannot deliver to the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or the Canary Islands.
Which parcel service will ship my package?
We ship our packages via PostNL. For international orders, the package is handed over to the local carrier. You will receive a track & trace link by email as soon as your package is shipped.
My order was incomplete or delivered incorrectly. What should I do?
If your order is incorrect or you are not satisfied, you can contact us at info@amaranth-amaryllis.com. Please include your order number in your email and attach photos if necessary.
Can I specify when I would like to receive my order?
You can leave a note with a delivery request while paying for your order, for example, “please deliver in week 44”. We will try to accommodate this as much as possible, but cannot guarantee it.
I ordered my Amaryllis bulbs between August and October. When will they be shipped?
Orders placed between August and October are shipped from the second half of October, around week 43. We ship weekly on Saturdays and Mondays.
Can I give the Amaryllis bulbs as a gift to someone else?
That's no problem. You can enter a different shipping address during checkout. The recipient will not receive an invoice or pricing information with the order. These will be sent to you by email.
Why don't you supply Amaryllis bulbs all year round?
The growing season for Amaryllis runs from February to August. After that, the bulbs are lifted and prepared with a cold treatment so they can bloom properly. They are available again from October.
Why are amaryllis bulbs packaged in wood wool?
An amaryllis bulb releases moisture. Wood wool absorbs this moisture well and helps prevent mold formation.
Can I order amaryllis bulbs at a discount for my company, association, or foundation?
Yes. We offer a substantial discount to companies, associations, foundations, charities, and churches that want to order more than 50 amaryllis bulbs. Larger orders are handled separately by the grower. Would you like to know what options are available? Visit our page. There, you can read how to request a larger order and what information we need for it.
Amaryllis care
How should I care for my amaryllis bulb?
The best thing to do is visit our special care page. There, we explain step by step how to plant the amaryllis, where to place it, and how to water it.
What should I do if I want to make my amaryllis bulb bloom a second time?
After flowering, you can store the bulb and make it bloom again. To do this, the bulb needs proper care and a cool period later on. You can find more information on our care page.
What should I do if there is a little mold on the roots of my amaryllis?
This can sometimes happen and is not a problem in itself. Rinse the roots with tap water, pat them dry, and let them dry thoroughly.
How can I be sure that my amaryllis bulb will bloom?
The amaryllis bulbs you buy from Amaranth-Amaryllis are guaranteed to bloom 100%. That is our growers' expertise.
Why does the color of my amaryllis differ from the photo on the website?
The color intensity of amaryllis flowers depends strongly on the amount of light. In winter, when there is less sunlight, the flowers may be less intensely colored than in photos, which are often taken in spring.
No flower stem has emerged from my amaryllis bulb yet. Is that normal?
Yes, that is normal. The speed at which the flower stem appears depends on the temperature, location, and variety. In a cool room, it may take longer than in a warmer room. So a little patience may be needed.
