About Amaranth Amaryllis
We are a Dutch family of growers specializing in the breeding and production of exceptional amaryllises. From the Westland region, we grow exclusive varieties that travel directly from our nursery to enthusiasts at home and abroad.
A family business with deep roots
Our grandfather started a horticultural business around 1920, right along the Dutch coast in the Westland horticultural region. The climate and soil proved particularly suitable for producing bulbs.
The company has since grown into a traditional nursery with a rich history. To this day, Amaranth Amaryllis remains a family business, driven by a love of the profession and a focus on quality.
Direct from the grower
Brothers Gerard and Ben van Geest have devoted themselves entirely to developing new varieties and growing an exclusive assortment of amaryllises.
Our bulbs are sold worldwide to professional trading companies and to consumers through our own online shop.
Our amaryllis shop for enthusiasts
The online shop was specially developed for consumers and is run by Ben van Geest and his daughter Gerrike. During the amaryllis season, from mid-October (week 43) through January, customers can order our amaryllis bulbs online and have them delivered to their homes.
From April through July, the online shop is prepared for the new season. Orders can be placed again from August.
For local consumers, we also have a physical shop at the nursery, where amaryllis bulbs and cut flowers are available from November to the end of February.
We offer a great discount to organizations. Associations, foundations, companies, charities, and churches that wish to order more than 50 amaryllis bulbs receive a substantial discount. Want to know more and receive ordering information? Find more information here.
