About Amaranth Amaryllis
We are a Dutch grower family specializing in the breeding and production of exceptional amaryllises. From the Westland, we grow exclusive varieties that make their way directly from our nursery to enthusiasts at home and abroad.
A family business with deep roots
Our grandfather started a horticultural business around 1920, right along the Dutch coast in the Westland horticultural region. The climate and soil proved particularly suitable for producing bulb crops.
The company has since grown into a traditional nursery with a rich history. To this day, Amaranth Amaryllis remains a family business, with a passion for the profession and a focus on quality.
Direct from the grower
Brothers Gerard and Ben van Geest have devoted themselves entirely to developing new varieties and growing an exclusive range of amaryllises.
Our bulbs are sold worldwide to professional trading companies and to consumers through our own webshop.

Our amaryllis webshop for enthusiasts
The webshop was specially developed for consumers and is run by Ben van Geest and his daughter Gerrike. During the amaryllis season, from mid-October (week 43) until January, customers can order our amaryllis bulbs online and have them delivered to their homes.
From April through July, the webshop is prepared for the new season. Orders can be placed again from August.
For local consumers, we also have a physical shop at our nursery, where amaryllis bulbs and cut flowers are available from November to the end of February.
We offer a great discount to organizations. Associations, foundations, companies, charities and churches that wish to order more than 50 amaryllis bulbs receive a substantial discount. Would you like to know more and receive ordering information? Find more information here.
Award-winning varieties
With great patience and passion, we work on developing new amaryllis varieties. It is the crowning achievement of our work when our varieties win prizes during the annual amaryllis judging at Keukenhof.

We offer a flowering guarantee
Because of the high quality of our amaryllis bulbs, we offer our customers a flowering guarantee. Every bulb is carefully grown, selected and packaged. This means you can count on strong bulbs, special varieties and abundant flowering.
Special varieties to enjoy
In our webshop, you will find an exclusive range of amaryllis, from beautiful double-flowered varieties to elegant cybisters and striking large-flowered amaryllis. Each one is a gem to enjoy.
Grown with care
We are proud of our nursery, our employees and our product. With our care instructions, you can enjoy your amaryllis not only now, but often again next year.
